Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA)
In 2007, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) launched of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), a proposed multilateral trade agreement aimed at enhancing IP enforcement. The governments of the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Canada, Mexico and the European Commission are currently engaged in the negotiations.
